Triumph Trident 660 Special Edition Set to Debut in India Soon: Here’s What to Expect

Triumph Motorcycles is ready to inject fresh energy into India’s middleweight segment with the upcoming launch of the Trident 660 Special Edition. The company recently teased the model through its official social media handles, confirming its imminent arrival.

What sets this special edition apart is its distinct tri-colour livery — a dynamic blend of metallic blue and red stripes laid over a clean white base. This eye-catching paint scheme adds a bold visual identity to an already stylish roadster.

Feature-Rich and Road-Ready

Beyond cosmetic upgrades, Triumph has packed the Trident 660 Special Edition with several functional enhancements. A factory-fitted flyscreen, belly pan, and shift assist come standard with this variant, improving both aesthetics and ride dynamics.

On the tech front, the bike is equipped with:

  • Dual-channel ABS

  • Full-colour TFT instrument cluster

  • Switchable traction control

  • Two riding modes – Rain and Road

These features aim to provide better control and a more adaptive riding experience for varied conditions.

Expected Price Tag

While Triumph hasn’t revealed the official pricing yet, industry insiders suggest an ex-showroom price of around ₹8.5 lakh. This would place it slightly above the standard model, owing to the additional equipment and premium styling.

Powertrain: Same Heart, Same Punch

Mechanically, the Special Edition remains unchanged from the standard Trident 660. It is powered by a 660cc, inline three-cylinder engine, producing a healthy 80 bhp and 64 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine is known for its linear power delivery and sporty mid-range.

Under the skin, the motorcycle continues to use the same tubular steel frame, suspended by 41mm Showa USD forks at the front and a preload-adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear — a setup tuned for urban agility and weekend fun.
