Ingredients for making Garlic Bread:
- Flour—2 cups
- Yeast (dry active)—1.5 tsp
- Sugar—1 tsp
- Salt—1/2 tsp
- Oil—2 tbsp
- Lukewarm water—as per requirement
- Milk—for brushing
- Butter—2 tbsp (soft)
- Garlic—5-6 cloves (grated or ground)
- Coriander leaves/oregano/mixed herbs—to taste
- Chili flakes—1/2tsp
- Cheese—1/2cup (mozzarella or processed, optional)
How to Make Garlic Bread:
Let the yeast activate in lukewarm water with sugar for 10 minutes. Now add flour, salt, and oil to it and knead a soft dough. Apply oil and cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Mix the grated garlic, herbs, and chili flakes in the soft butter. Roll out the kneaded dough. Spread garlic butter on top and sprinkle cheese if you want. Fold it in half and seal the edges. Brush milk on top and sprinkle some herbs or chili flakes.
In the oven: Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes. In a pan: Cover and bake on low flame for 15–20 minutes (turn occasionally). When cool slightly, cut into pieces and serve with hot cheese dip or sauce.
