The final production model of the Maruti e-Vitara has been spotted testing on Indian roads, giving a clear signal that the company’s first all-electric SUV is almost ready for launch. The e-Vitara will be built on a strong foundation to compete with popular EV SUVs in India and offer a budget-friendly electric alternative.

Engine and Motor Setup

The Maruti e-Vitara will come with a fully electric motor setup. It is expected to feature a single motor front-wheel-drive system, tuned for urban and highway driving. The production-ready model showcases a modern SUV design with LED headlamps, connected taillamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, and a closed-off grille. Inside, the cabin will feature a digital instrument cluster, floating touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, automatic climate control, and ADAS safety features. It is likely to support OTA updates and wireless connectivity options. The car will be based on the Born-EV platform co-developed with Toyota.
