Kia is ready to shake up the compact SUV market with the upcoming Kia Sonet 2025. This updated model is getting attention for its new design language, improved cabin features, and expected fuel efficiency. With a stylish appearance and added tech, Kia aims to attract young buyers looking for performance, comfort, and affordability in one package.
Engine Setup and Performance
The 2025 Kia Sonet will offer three engine options to cater to different customer needs. It will come with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine. The turbo and diesel variants are expected to offer better torque for those who want quicker pickup and highway performance. Gearbox options include 5-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DCT, depending on the variant.
Mileage Efficiency Details
Kia has tuned the Sonet 2025 for better mileage. The 1.2L petrol variant is expected to deliver around 18.4 kmpl, while the turbocharged petrol may offer up to 20.1 kmpl. The 1.5L diesel engine remains the most efficient, likely to return close to 24.1 kmpl under ideal driving conditions. These figures make the Sonet a competitive option for daily commuters.

In terms of design, the Kia Sonet 2025 gets a revised grille, updated bumpers, new LED DRLs, and freshly designed alloy wheels. The cabin is upgraded with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new seat upholstery, and a digital instrument cluster. It will also include rear AC vents, sunroof, cruise control, and multiple airbags. The car’s length stays around 3995 mm with a boot space close to 392 litres and a ground clearance of 205 mm.
