Kia India has introduced a new version of its popular MPV, the Carens, packed with premium features and a luxury cabin feel. This updated model comes with hybrid technology and advanced safety systems. Buyers looking for a spacious family car with futuristic appeal are taking quick notice of this launch.
Engine and Hybrid Powertrain
The new Kia Carens now gets a hybrid powertrain option, which is the biggest highlight in this upgrade. The vehicle features a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to an electric motor system. It generates around 160 bhp combined power, offering smoother performance and better fuel efficiency. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, making it effortless to drive in city or highway conditions.
Mileage and Efficiency
Thanks to the hybrid setup, mileage has improved significantly in the new Carens. On average, the car delivers around 21 kmpl. This is a major step up from the standard petrol version. The smart regenerative braking system also helps improve overall fuel savings while driving in traffic.
Interior, Safety and Other Features
Kia has focused heavily on luxury and comfort in this model. The new Carens comes with a dual-tone interior, ventilated seats, and a large panoramic sunroof. It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Safety features include six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist. The cabin now also includes ambient lighting and wireless phone charging, adding more convenience.
Price and Launch Offer
The starting ex-showroom price of the new Kia Carens is ₹12.50 lakh, and it goes up to ₹18 lakh for the top hybrid variant. As part of the launch offer, some dealers are offering a loyalty bonus and exchange benefits of up to ₹40,000. Bookings have already started across all Kia showrooms and online platforms.
