Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PMKSNY), crores of farmers across India are set to receive the next installment of Rs 2000 very soon. This financial aid is directly credited to the farmer’s account to support their agricultural needs. The scheme is a major relief, especially for small and marginal farmers who depend heavily on seasonal income.
When Will Farmers Receive the Rs 2000 Installment?
According to official sources, the 17th installment of the PMKSNY scheme will be released by the end of June 2025. The Central Government has already completed verification processes through e-KYC and Aadhaar linking. Farmers who have completed these formalities will be the first to receive the money directly in their bank accounts. Beneficiaries can check their payment status on the official PMKSNY portal by entering their Aadhaar or mobile number.
Key Eligibility and Application Process
Farmers owning up to 2 hectares of land are eligible for this scheme. To apply, individuals must visit the nearest CSC centre or register online through the official portal. After registration, biometric verification and land ownership confirmation are necessary. It’s important for farmers to ensure their e-KYC is updated, as pending verification may delay payment. State governments are actively helping with field-level verifications to speed up disbursal.
Scheme Benefits and Total Payment
Under PMKSNY, registered farmers receive Rs 6000 annually in three equal installments of Rs 2000. This amount is transferred every four months, usually in April, August, and December. As of now, more than 11 crore farmers have benefited from the scheme. This financial support helps in buying seeds, fertilizers, and other essential resources for farming.
