Tata Motors is preparing to launch the new model of its flagship SUV Safari very soon. It will come mated with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. Tata is expected to work on improving NVH levels and gear shift smoothness to offer better drivability.

Talking about fuel efficiency, the diesel variant is expected to offer a mileage of around 16-18 kmpl under standard conditions. While exact ARAI figures will be revealed after launch, the engine setup remains similar to the current version, ensuring similar fuel-saving numbers for long drives and city commutes.

The new Safari will feature cosmetic changes like a new front grille, LED DRLs, and redesigned tail lamps.
