Toyota has officially launched the 2025 facelift of its popular SUV Fortuner in India. The updated version comes with cosmetic upgrades, new-age features, and the same reliable diesel powertrain that makes it a favourite among Indian buyers. Toyota aims to maintain its strong position in the premium SUV segment with this new iteration. The bookings have already begun across dealerships.
Engine Performance and Power
The 2025 Toyota Fortuner continues to offer the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine. It produces 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. A 6-speed manual variant is also available for selected trims. The SUV offers both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain options. The engine remains BS6 Phase-2 compliant with improved tuning for better low-end torque and smoother highway cruising.
Mileage Figures Revealed
As per ARAI estimates, the Fortuner 2025 offers a mileage of around 14.4 kmpl for the manual version and about 13.2 kmpl for the automatic. The 4×4 variants may deliver slightly lower figures. Despite being a full-size SUV, the diesel engine manages to offer respectable fuel efficiency, especially on long highway drives.
Premium Features and Other Specifications
Toyota has added a new grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and LED matrix headlamps to give the Fortuner a bold new look. Inside, the cabin gets a larger 10.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety has also been enhanced with 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and lane assist.
Price and Current Market Offers
The starting price of the Toyota Fortuner 2025 facelift is ₹35.49 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to ₹43.92 lakh for the top-end variant. Currently, there are no official discount offers, but some dealerships are offering loyalty bonuses or exchange benefits for existing Toyota customers. Delivery timelines may vary depending on the variant and location.
