Clean air, best June in four years!
This time in June, Delhi’s air has been the cleanest in the last four years. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on Saturday, Delhi’s average air quality index (AQI) was 97, which is considered in the satisfactory category. This is the ninth day in this month when the AQI has been below 100. Usually the air is cleaner in July and August, but this time it is a pleasant change that it is so in June as well. Continuous western disturbances in May and thunderstorms and rains due to western disturbances and cyclonic circulation in June helped in improving the air quality.
